Imagine Fashion Idol for Wii, is aimed for girls aged 6-14. Players are participating in a TV show to be the best fashion designer. This is achieved through various workshops before presenting their designs to a ‘jury’. Basically, this is ‘Project Catwalk’ for girls but without the bitchiness or nastiness!

Asides from designing the clothes, you also model them. This is where the Balance Board comes in to use as you experience the catwalk by using it (we haven’t seen the game yet but assume your poses are evaluated in some way when you stand on it), the Wii controls are used as scissors, brushes and lipstick! My Fitness Coach Official Trailer

No doubt you’ve heard the buzz about My Fitness Coach? If you haven’t yet, expect to see the ads everywhere very soon. The game is out tomorrow and wouldn’t you know it – Amazon have sold out already! If you want it, use our My Fitness Coach Stock Locator and get it for the cheapest price (currently £14.91). This the official trailer for it below: The trailer doesn’t go into much detail, but… those of you in the know (basically those who have read our My Fitness Coach Game page) would remember that this game is an improvement of a game called ‘Yourself Fitness’ that came out on the PS2 and Xbox a few years ago.

Do a search for this on You Tube to get even more of an idea of what this game is like. There are lots of videos showing the different levels of gameplay. It looks really good and the great thing is, it will be even better on the Wii. Not long now!

Two New Balance Board Friendly Games On WiiWare Now!

A lot of you out there have an insatiable desire for games that allow further use of the Balance Board. Two titles have just been released via WiiWare that should help satisfy your cravings! Tetris Party is an updated version of a gaming classic, it provides a variety of gaming modes, and you can control the movement of the Tetriminos via the balance board. Cool! Also available via WiiWare in the US is The Incredible Maze. You can use the Wii remote to help you get through a variety of mazes and puzzles OR you can use you Balance Board to help you navigate your way to victory! There’s all sorts of traps and obstacles in the maze though so be careful. Tetris Party comes in at 1,200 Wii points whilst The Incredible Maze is a mere 500 Wii points.

Tetris Party To Include Balance Board Compatibilty

Tetris was always one of my favourite games, hours were lost playing this on my old Gameboy and even now I can quite happily waste 20 minutes or so playing a ‘version’ of the game on my phone. So it is good to hear that this totally addictive masterpiece is coming to the Wii and includes Balance Board compatibility too!

What a dream combination! The game ‘Tetris Party’ can be yours via Wiiware download, it features 18 game modes which includes 10 brand new single player and multi-player variations of the game. I should imagine that the Balance Board is required get those tetriminos in place by shifting your body weight although I’m sure they’ll come out with a new twist on the old formula.

Additional Wii Music Details Revealed

Just when we thought we knew the tune it looks like Nintendo have decided to remix it and throw in an extra chorus and a new middle eight! Wii Music looked like a fun ‘toy’ that allowed some Balance Board / Drum action and a variety of instruments for us to mess around with and not much else. But new details about the title have emerged which make the title sound much more appealing.

Firstly there is now some licensed music involved, who knows it may add a Rock Band / Guitar Hero (Cello Hero?) element to the game. There will be around 50 songs altogether not all will be licensed material) providing ‘endless possibilities’. The conductor element is still in place and best of all there will be a selection of ‘incentive based’ games in which players will be judged with a score. The games are: Mii Maestro (The Conductor element mentioned above), ‘Hand-Bell Harmony’ which offers a multi-player game featuring coloured bells which must be chimed in sequence. And finally there is ‘Pitch Perfect’, in which you attempt to match sounds of similar pitch to see if you have a musical ear, kind of like an audio version of the Balance test! Wii Music is set for release on October 20th and now seems like it could be a hit.
