Wii Fit News

The Wii Fit has become the first computer game to be endorsed by the Department of Health!

The government regularly claims that playing computer games encourages a sedentary lifestyle, and that the video game industry has a role in the increasing cases of obesity seen in children and teenagers.

So Nintendo must be feeling pretty chuffed to receive backing from our very own NHS. A spokesman for the Department for Health said it was not endorsing a video game, but rather an exercise.

Yes people, the NHS are saying that the Wii Fit is an effective form of exercise! Therefore it ‘works’ (like any kind of exercise does).

This is a bargain if ever we saw one!

Zavvi are selling the Wii Fit Plus game for only £15.95 (RRP £29.99)!! That’s a 50% saving!

Wii Fit Plus – Game Only – £15.95

Not sure how long these prices are going to last, so if you want the game I don’t think it’s going to get much cheaper than this.

For those of you who are interested, this is what the new Wii Fit Plus box will look like when it replaces the Wii Fit this winter… (drum roll please)…
