As you probably know Wii Fit stock can sell out in an instant so here are a few tried and tested pointers to help you grab one as soon as possible.

 

1. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WiiFitFrenzy! STOCK LOCATOR

2. SUBSCRIBE TO ONE OF OUR ALERTS (OR ALL THREE!)

You can choose between Automatic Pop-Up’s, Email Alerts or Audio Alerts to inform you when a Wii Fit has been found.  

If you don’t to be glued to the Stock Locator (it can be addictive we know) use one of these.  If there is stock available you will most definitely know about it.

 

3. LEAVE YOUR PAGE OPEN

It sounds obvious but don’t forget that when you are waiting for a Pop-Up or Audio Alert you must always keep the relevant page open on your browser – if you close the page you’ll miss the alert.

 

4. PRE-REGISTER WITH RELIABLE STOCKISTS

It may seem a bit time consuming but it’s always worth pre-registering your details with the major retailers.  It saves you time when attempting to grab such ‘be quick’ items as the Wii Fit.

Amazon, GAME and Gamestation are three of the best.  Try and register with the majority of retailers so you are prepared.  Use the same email and password each time to save time.

 

5. USE AMAZON ‘1 CLICK’ ORDERING

If you already have an account with Amazon then you’re half-way there.

This feature allows you to order immediately by simply clicking the ‘Buy now with 1-Click’ icon.

Where is this?  The button appears once you sign in to your Amazon account and click on ‘Sign in to turn on 1-Click ordering’ (which is positioned under the ‘Add to Shopping Basket’ icon on the right), this activates it and you are ready to go!

Just ensure that Amazon actually has the item you want in stock or you could be transferred to a 3rd party seller who may bump the price up.  If this happens then simply log in to your account and cancel the order.

Amazon has been known to run out of stock within minutes (literally, a couple of minutes), using this you can you have your Wii Fit ordered and paid for within a couple of seconds. 

 

6. BE READY TO MAKE YOUR ORDER

Not all merchants have a ‘1-Click option so you have to be prepared…

Sounds pretty obvious but make sure you’ve got all the relevant details to hand (credit card/debit card etc…), if you are flapping about trying to find your bank card you could miss out.  

 

7. HAVE A GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION

Always make sure your Internet connection is good and strong, at present grabbing a Wii Fit requires a smooth operation and losing your Internet connection equals disaster when placing an order.  It also equals irritation, then anger (in equal measures).

 

8. USE THE GOOGLE TOOLBAR TO FILL OUT FORMS FOR YOU

Do you have the Google Toolbar?  It has an ‘AutoFill’ feature which automatically fills out your details with a single click. Your details are stored within it, are encrypted and secure,  and once done the ‘Auto fill’ feature is available.  Click Settings, then Options, input your details and save.  When it comes to registering with a new merchant that has the Wii Fit, it may speed things up.

‘AutoFill’ allows the user to fill out a wide range of online forms with just one click – just make sure that you check your order and that the relevant details are in the correct place.

You can download it here as part of the Google Pack – there are lots of other interesting bits of software here provided by Google that you can also download.  Tick the ones you are interested in, otherwise just tick the toolbar box for your browser –  a choice of either Firefox or IE.

 

9. START LOOKING EARLY

Online retailers occasionally release stock early, some say it relieves the strain on their website once the rest of the world awakes, we think it’s just their silly stock systems!  Who’s going to be shopping for a Wii Fit at 4.30 in the morning?  (You are?  Oh. Sorry)

Seriously though, some of them get into a bit of a pattern and release a batch of stock regularly early morning.  If you get up between 6am and 7am it’s worth having a quick peek if you have the time as you could get lucky!

 

10. BE PATIENT

Obtaining a Wii Fit may take some time as demand continues to outweigh supply (and if you’re waiting for the £69.99 priced stock to come back in).  If you don’t find one straight away just keep checking, be patient and enjoy the hunt!
