WHO IS THE WII FIT GIRL?
The Wii Fit girl is something of a phenomenon in the world of Nintendo Wii Fit and here is a condensed version of the story. Some time ago during the dawn of Wii Fit, a video appeared on YouTube, it looked something like this….
The video depicts Lauren Bernat exercising away in her smalls, enjoying the Hula Hoop element of Wii Fit atop the Balance Board. At the end of the video the undercover film maker, boyfriend Giovanny Gutierrez, grins at the camera content with the saucy footage. He loads the video onto YouTube, it ‘goes global’ and that is the end of it.
Except it isn’t.
It turns out both Wii Fit girl and her partner work in advertising and the general feeling is that ‘Wii Fit Girl’ was nothing more than a clever ruse, possibly linked to Nintendo, designed to give Wii Fit more (ahem) exposure. Nintendo have always maintained that they have nothing to do with the video.
Recently Wii Fit girl got her revenge on Americas Tyra Banks show – needless to say the sight of Wii Fit Man in his underpants didn’t take the world by storm.
The video has been watched over 8 million times and the buzz still hasn’t quietened down!
