IS IT SAFE TO BUY A EUROPEAN Wii FIT?

First and foremost, European Nintendo Wii’s and the games are all in the PAL region, which is what the UK is. If you bought the Wii Fit from France, Germany, Spain or Greece to name a few of the included countries, it will work. (ALWAYS check the region, look for the PAL logo on the box).

The Wii Fit has been increasingly difficult to find at the RRP in the UK, if you’re getting impatient, don’t be put off from ordering abroad.  Of course, only order from reputable companies –  I am only recommending Amazon in this instance – they are a big, well-respected, and trustworthy company and I would feel safe ordering with them (and have done before). I don’t know any other stores abroad with such a reputation so I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing them to your attention therefore I won’t!

In addition to this, use your common sense – don’t go buying it off a market stall on holiday, make sure you buy from a reputable company.

Here are the reasons why it’s perfectly safe to order a Wii Fit from Europe (where we recommend you buy from anyway):

- The manuals for the Wii Fit are multi-lingual and there is always an English section. To be honest with you, there is nothing you need to know about the game that you can’t find here on this site. The game itself takes you through every step. You don’t even need a manual, you can don your gym gear, start the game, step on the Board and you’re playing.

 - The language isn’t a problem – just choose ‘English’ on the game if asked, otherwise if the default language is English on your Wii, it will automatically select that.

 - There is no import duty to pay.

 - There is no mains adaptor as the Balance Board uses AA batteries.

 - As aforementioned, we only recommend Amazon.  With Amazon.fr or Amazon.de you log in using your UK account details.  Nothing has change online apart from the language, your address and payment details are on there already, and it is exactly the same layout as the UK site.

- If anything were to go wrong with your Balance Board you are covered by a one year European Warranty which is recognized by Nintendo and honoured. You would send it to Nintendo Customer Services UK with your receipt and they would treat it as a UK purchase.

 - You’re more likely to find it at the RRP over there, than here in the UK at the moment!
