I’ve never tried it but I’m guessing that nothing beats the feeling of your horse romping past the finishing post, the crowd going wild and your steed’s fetlocks blowing in the wind.
Having fallen off a donkey on Blackpool beach nipped that dream in the bud some years ago (Donkey’s years ago in fact) but thanks to the release of G1 Jockey the dream returns and has become a Wii realised reality.
Using the Balance board to control your position on the horse and the Wii mote and Nunchuck to whip and guide your stallion of choice you can feel the excitement of the big race and attempt to come in first, but be warned it’s harder than it looks and you have to take in all sorts of factors including your horses mood and stamina.
You may look a little strange whipping thin air and standing with bow legs on the balance board but if you are anything like me that is a small price to pay when first place is up for grabs.
