Have you heard there is a new Wii Fit game out? It’s called the Wii Fit Plus and is currently the No1 selling Nintendo game in the country!
This game isn’t a sequel, it’s a replacement. For those who own the original Wii Fit it is an impressive improvement, and will give you and your Balance Board a whole new lease of life!
This improved and updated version of the original game, features fifteen new balance board mini-games and six new training exercises. Some of these require you to use the Balance Board in completely new ways.
It also promises to give you a better workout by allowing you to set your own customized workouts – you can mix and match which strength and yoga activities you prefer on a given day. The benefit of this is that your exercise routine will flow seamlessly, and you won’t cool down or get lazy because you have to stop and start deciding which exercises to do next.
If you don’t know what exercises you want to do, or need a little help in choosing the right ones for your ‘problem areas’, Wii Fit Plus does it for you. You have the choice of choosing a pre-set routine according to how much time you have available to exercise, or one of several designed to target specific areas of the body such as firming the stomach and toning the arms.
Here, check out this video for a preview of what is coming:
Another feature, which is just for fun, is the ability to weigh your cat or dog. This is achieved by standing on the Balance Board with ‘Rover’, and after some complicated calculations (the game subtracts the extra weight from your body weight) you will know how much he weighs. Could be useful.. after all, have you ever tried to get a dog or cat to stand on scales?
From November the Wii Fit Plus will be replacing the current Wii Fit game that is packaged with the Balance Board. It will also be released as a stand-alone game. There is no difference in the Wii Balance Board. Everything is exactly the same, only the game is different.
